The brief
DharmaSaathi is a matrimonial platform for people whose spiritual practice is central to how they choose a partner — Isha, Swaminarayan, Art of Living, ISKCON, Jain sanghs, Gayatri Parivar, Dada Bhagwan and self-declared paths. The site carries a full product story across three languages, sells a paid-to-speak pricing model against free browsing, and brings parents into the process as first-class users rather than an afterthought.
Why it stands out
The whole surface is built on consent as a structural rule, not a checkbox. The seven-stage Parichay opens one stage at a time and only when both sides choose it, and the Parivar dashboard lets a parent search and shortlist while nothing goes live without the child's approval — the copy, the information architecture and the product logic all say the same thing. The design system is named in its own vocabulary, with chandan, linen, sand, brass, kanku and tulsi as CSS tokens, pairing Fraunces with Noto Serif Gujarati and Devanagari so Hindi and Gujarati read as typeset rather than transliterated. The Gujarati and Hindi routes are true transcreations: the jokes land in each language instead of merely surviving translation.
